The gist of it is this: there's a video floating around the internet of the top lawyer for the National Education Association specifically saying that the only reason the NEA is effective is because of POWER. It has nothing to do with the ideas to care for children or merits of position. And why do they have power? Because of money. He goes on to say that collective bargaining is more important than closing achievement gaps, reducing dropout rates, or improving teacher quality.

The Braincrave.com discussion group on Second Life was a twice-daily intellectual group discussions typically held at 12:00 PM SLT (PST) and 7:00 PM SLT. The discussions took place in Second Life group chat but are no longer formally scheduled or managed. The daily articles were used to encourage the discussions.
