For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Second Life is a 3D virtual world. This place has everything: socializing, relationships, education, art, science, religion, business, live concerts, political activism, fashion, games, role play, sex, and sometimes even real life marriages. The creativity of Second Life residents is amazing.
The Braincrave.com discussion group on Second Life is L$500 Linden Dollars to join and has open enrollment. We are a community of men and women who seek beauty and stimulation through our minds. We find ideas, education, and self-improvement sexy. We think intelligence is hot. But Braincrave.com is more than brains and I.Q. alone. We are curious. We have common sense. We value and offer wisdom. We experiment. We have great imaginations. We devour literacy. We are intellectually honest. We support and encourage each other to be better.
Formal Braincrave.com intellectual group discussions in Second Life are typically held twice daily at 12:00 PM SLT (PST) and 7:00 PM SLT. You can find past discussion topics here. Daily topics are also posted through Facebook, Twitter, and RSS. No formal topic going on but need some intellectual stimulation? Feel free to throw a topic out to the group anytime.
For those of you who aren't Second Life members but want to participate in our twice/daily discussions, you can join us for free through our IRC chat relay system. Within Second Life, you can teleport to the Braincrave home and join us personally. And, while you're there, be sure to check out the rest of the fascinating Deshima science-fiction space station.

Sep, 2017 update: Although Braincrave resulted in two confirmed marriages, the venture didn't meet financial targets. Rather than updating our outdated code base, we've removed all previous dating profiles and retained the articles that continue to generate interest. Moving to valME.io's platform supports dating profiles (which you are welcome to post) but won't allow typical date-matching functionality (e.g., location proximity, attribute similarity).
